Jeasy Sehgal

Founder / Creative Director / Lead Trainer

Jeasy is an Emerging Technology evangelist in Film, Motion Capture, AR/VR/MR, Animation, and Game Development.  Multi-Talented Creative and the founder of Graphic Monk Productions, a multi-disciplinary Production House with multiple brands incorporated under the umbrella, Imperial Swords, The Imperial School of Swordsmanship, Dynakinetix: Motion Capture & Virtual Productions.

Jeasy is a trained Film Editor, Fight and Movement Director, Weapon specialist, performance and motion capture trainer, writer, and director. He trained for post-production methodologies at Park Road Post (Weta Group – New Zealand) and post-production at South Seas Film & Television School – New Zealand. 

Jeasy is a member of the advisory board of Southern Institute of Technology VASAF Advisory as an industry professional and trainer and currently pursuing his Master of Technological Futures while researching the emotional and empathetic responses in Digital Humans / Virtuals assisting in user engagement. Jeasy is also co-authoring a PHD Research with Massey University for a VR Compassion project for the Health Ministry.

Jeasy recently received accreditation as New Zealand’s First certified trainer for Reallusion Character Creator & Iclone emerging technology pipeline for Digital human Creation and Animation workflows.

As a Reallusion certified trainer, Jeasy is geared to deliver high-quality training to students and industry professionals. Reallusion certifications ensure that their certified trainers provide a high-standard learning experience.

Dr Sylvia Hach

Advisory Team / Lecturer 
Research Methodologies

Holding degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience including a PhD from Max-Planck, Sylvia has contributed to the scientific literature in fundamental and applied aspects of physical and mental health. Sylvia has worked in teaching and research institutes in Europe and New Zealand, exploring important questions around stroke, depression and pain. In the capacity of academic supervisor she has been able to apply her research skills in diverse projects including health, social science and education.

Sylvia’s passion lies in research that has the power to make a difference in people’s lives. At Virtual Production Dojo, Sylvia is part of the Advisory Team, as well as a lecturer ensuring a strong evidence-base is part of every project plan.

Brigita Sehgal

Academic Director
Design Thinking Principles

Brigita is a multi-talented creative and educator.

During her postgraduate Mind lab course, she discovered and became truly passionate about the application of Design Thinking and Agile Learning within her teaching practice.

Considering that the cycles of inquiry are at the heart of achievement goals for many educators , Brigita has demonstrated experience and organisational skills to promote this across the board. 

Brigita continues to build her capacities and capabilities through continuous professional development and educational enrichment.

Brigita excels in the pedagogy of organisational skills, collaborative and digital skills along with the capacity for clear communication.

Dr Nilufar Baghaei

Advisory Team 

Dr Nilufar Baghaei is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science and the Director of Games and Extended Reality Lab at Massey University. 

Her research interests are Game-based Learning, Mixed Reality, and Persuasive Technology (h-index: 18, citations: 1080+). Nilufar is an active researcher in the area of GBL, AIED and Human-Computer Interaction for the past 14+ years and has an extensive list of publications in international journals and conferences.

Dr Kathryn McCully

Advisory Team 

Kathryn McCully was previously programme manager for the creative industries at the Southern Institute of Technology. This included oversight of film, animation, game design, digital fashion technology, content creation and concept art strands within the Bachelor of Screen Arts.

Kathryn completed her PhD through the Auckland University of Technology. The research – DIY Museums, explored a decentralised museum model that regarded the city and region as the site for responsive, intermittent acts of museum-making performed by and through the community. 

Shaun Foster

Advisory Team

Shaun Foster (MFA) is an Associate Professor of 3D Digital Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  With over 15 years of experience in 3D graphics and interactive educational design, he has worked on multiple award winning projects, has received multiple grants, and publishes and speaks regularly at top conferences.  In addition, please check out my published tutorials on Pluralsight.com and YouTube.com    

    Rachel Lilley

    Advisory Team

    Rachel is an Engagement Manager with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Working in the AWS Public Sector team Rachel is on a mission to rethink government and deliver in the service of others. A strategic leader, with a strong track record of engagement and building high-performing teams, Rachel is future-focused and believes technology plus empowered purpose-driven people can achieve greatness.

    Prior to AWS Rachel spent 14 years in the public sector in various management roles. In her spare time Rachel sits on a number of community sports boards as well as playing hockey at the Masters international level.

      John Hyde

      Executive Producer/ Director
      Mentor

      John Hyde has worked in the film and television industry for over 35 years. He began his career in the cutting rooms of Television New Zealand [TVNZ] and the BBC. John has worked as an Executive and Series Producer, Producer, and Director on a number of productions, across many genres; including science, natural history, arts, ob doc and dramatized documentary. He has worked extensively in the US, China, Australia, The Middle East, and Singapore. His award-winning productions have supplied Discovery’s stable of channels, along with National Geographic and a host of international networks.
