Introduction to Unreal Engine

This two-day, instructor-led, hands-on Bootcamp is designed to introduce you to the emerging world of Virtual Production Filmmaking using Unreal Engine 5.

During 6 hours of intensive training, we take a deep dive into real-time tools included in Unreal Engine 5 with a view of Virtual Production Cinematography.

*NOTE: Participants must have Unreal Engine 5 installed on their machines.

Total Time Allocation: 6 hours

  • Creating projects
  • Overview of Unreal Engine Interface and workflows
  • Introduction to world-building
  • Landscaping
  • Applying animations to digital actors
  • Creating and placing virtual cameras in the virtual world
  • Introduction to Sequencer
  • Filming in real-time with the sequencer
  • Rendering a movie clip
